Fayenza ring, polychromed in turquoise blue and with floral decoration on the upper part.
These pieces were made from two separate clay moulds, as evidenced by the hundreds recovered from the excavations at the Amarna site. The earthenware paste was pressed into each mould, the bezel and stem, and the resulting pieces were joined together. The glaze, turquoise blue in this case, was then applied and the whole ring was fired.
