Ritual jade cong - Hongshan Neolithic period - 3200/2000 BC

Large tubular green jade ritual cong with square section, probably from the early Neolithic Hongshan culture.
Cong carved from green mineral jade veined with reddish, decorated with bagua and numerous apotropaic masks.

It has four faces, each very slightly domed, decorated in relief. It is pierced with a large central hole. The hole is not completely polished and leaves visible drilling marks.
China, probably Neolithic period, Hongshan period, 3200/2000 BC.

Good state of conservation - some areas partially calcified
