Robert Andrew Parker (American, 1927–2023) was a painter, printmaker, and illustrator recognized for his fluid draftsmanship and watercolor-like handling of line and color. Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Parker worked extensively in fine-art printmaking, editorial illustration, and book illustration. His work is represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Art Institute of Chicago, National Gallery of Art, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and Norton Simon Museum.

County Clare, Eire XI, 1967, a color lithograph from Parker’s portfolio of twelve Irish landscapes, printed from zinc and stone in transparent green, two blues, and brown on German Etching paper. Printed by Serge Lozingot and published by Tamarind Lithography Workshop, Los Angeles. The composition presents a low coastal horizon beneath broad, wind-driven bands of blue-gray clouds, with pale green and brown passages suggesting fields or water in the foreground. Inscribed “Tam. Imp.” in graphite lower left and signed “Robert Andrew Parker” lower right, with the Tamarind workshop blindstamp and Lozingot printer’s chop below. One of nine Tamarind impressions produced alongside the artist’s edition of 20. Sheet measures approximately 17 x 11.625 inches. Light handling wear with a few very small isolated marks in the lower margins. Natural deckled lower edge. Colors remain strong and the image presents well. Provenance of Martin and Enid Gleich.
