Robert Harrison is a self-taught artist best known for his depictions of Texas Hill Country bluebonnet landscapes and fall scenes. His work has been displayed at the Witte Museum, the San Angelo Museum of Art and the Buckhorn Museum. In 1985, the former curator of the Witte Museum, Cecelia Steinfeldt, named Harrison as one of the top ten bluebonnet painters of all time in the Southwest Art Magazine. In 2008, Lady Bird and Luci Johnson sponsored a show for Harrison at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin.
