Louis Falco (1942-1993) was a native New Yorker, raised on Manhattan's Lower East Side. He achieved international acclaim as a modern dancer and choreographed pieces for his own dance company and commissions for world renowned dance companies. He became well known for his choreography created for the dance scenes in the 1980 motion picture "Fame".
