Conceived in 1966 and executed in 2000, this work is artist's proof number 3 from an edition of 4, plus an edition of 6.

Condition Report:
This work is in very good and sound condition overall. Upon close inspection, there is extremely light evidence of handling including faint scuffs and scattered light scratches. Upon further close inspection, there are pinpoint losses on the ‘V’ at the left upper corner, along the lower edge of the reverse and on the left exterior edge of the ‘E’. As expected with a sculpture of this construction, a light layer of dust has settled on the surface.

Sotheby's London, 27 June 2012, lot 233
