Robert Kemm was born in 1837, in London. Robert Kemm traveled to Spain, (especially to Andalusia) like other painters of his country, including John Philip, Edwin Long, and John Bagnold Burgess. He painted genre scenes with Toreros, beggars, and guitarists, often depicted in the historic center of Seville.
