Tree. 12 pp. Drawings by Emil Antonucci. 28x11 cm (4¼ x11") saddle-stitched illustrated wrappers. Bump to top edge at spine. First Edition.
A set of 15 strips of thin goldenrod colored paper. Some strips are printed letterpress with text and some are illustrated with abstract ink designs. The strips are folded in half, unbound and housed in a blue envelope measuring 5 x 12." A few of the fragile strips of paper have corner creases and a bit of spotting. The envelope is not printed and has light creases and folds. Likely a proof of the 1970 publication "Tree" with different illustrations.

Robert Lax was an American poet, known in particular for his association with famed Trappist monk and writer Thomas Merton.
