Robert Milne was active as a watchmaker in around 1900. He supplied fine observation watches for the Navy. For this reason, the movement bears the stamp “Maker to the Admiralty”. A few models were also delivered with a carousel chronometer. Similar to a tourbillon, the escapement rotates 360 degrees within a specific period of time. The patent comes from Bahne Bonniksen.
