Robin Williams Signed Contract For "Mork & Mindy", PSA LOA
DS

A studio contract between Paramount Pictures and actor Robin Williams (1951-2014) for the role as Mork in the sci-fi comedy series "Mork & Mindy". 4pp, each measuring 8.5" x 11", ca. 1980. Signed in the lower left of pg. 7 as "Robin Williams" and countersigned by Richard A. Weston as Paramount's Senior Vice President of Business Affairs. Detailing the terms of a five year contract dated May 10, 1978, it includes several revisions, the most recent being from September 10, 1980. At least one page- containing articles 14 thru 21- is missing. Expected wear includes light handling creases and staple punctures in the upper left of each page; two-hole punched along the upper margins. Minor offset toning to signature page. Otherwise, very good. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.

A spin-off of a highly successful episode of "Happy Days", "Mork & Mindy" was an American sitcom that aired from 1978 to 1982. It follows Mork (Williams), an extraterrestrial who comes to earth and befriends the human Mindy (Pam Dawber), who becomes his roommate. The character of Mork was played by a then-unknown Robin Williams, who impressed producer Garry Marshall with his quirky comic ability. When Williams was asked to take a seat at the audition, he sat on his head, and Marshall cast him on the spot, later wryly commenting that he was the only alien who actually auditioned.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
