A good 1930's Period Robert Irwin Furniture Co. "Royal" line 10 piece dining room set in the Italian Renaissance Revival style. Select Grade Black Walnut construction with burl panels and exotic wood inlays, extensive hand carved swag and Acanthus leaf detail. Includes an extending dining table with carved scrolled legs and turned arcaded central support with inlaid marquetry floral panels on either end, includes four skirted leaves and two additional leaves without skirts measuring 48 x 74" (plus six 11" leaves = 140" long overall) a sideboard (90 x 25 x 38" high) with three drawers over four doors and four columnar legs, the center doors with inlaid marquetry floral panels open to reveal three long drawers flanked on each side by paneled doors with carved vase and flower panels with two additional drawers inside each, includes eight chairs (each 30" high) with recently upholstered seats and square backs, turned legs and carved foliate stretchers.
