Rococo Revival Mahogany Marble-Top Table

Description: A diminutive Rococo Revival center table with a shaped white marble top, its gray veining bordered by a molded edge following the serpentine outline. The mahogany-veneered frieze has a scalloped lower rail centered by carved shells, with foliate blocks above the four scrolling supports. Leaf carving follows the curved supports into outward-turning scroll feet fitted with metal casters. A shaped X-stretcher joins the base around a turned central finial, beneath the figured surfaces and applied carving of the apron.
