Rölakan Agedyna Kilim
South Sweden, c. 220 x 57 cm, dated 1850, following an old tradition, various textiles used to be produced on Swedish farms for domestic use; the present weave with double interlocking, floating weft threads was once used as coach box cushion, the front side is decorated with lozenge fields with women and bird motifs, as well as with a date and the letters "EMLD", the back side features a striped pattern decoration.
