Roland Pym, British 1905-2010 - Mother and Child (with 'Male Portrait Study' on the reverse); oil on canvas, signed lower left 'Roland Pym' and inscribed with title and partial date on the reverse, 41 x 46 cm (unframed) (ARR) Note: celebrated for his playful and nostalgic style, reminiscent of his contemporary Rex Whistler, Pym created illustrations for books including the novels of Nancy Mitford and Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair'. Pym is also well-known for his trompe de l'oeil windows at Biddesden House.
