The Rolex King Midas was introduced in 1964. Meant to be Rolex's top-of-the-line model, it was only available in gold and featured an interesting asymmetric case designed by Gerald Genta. The present example dates to the mid 1970s, when the Midas was integrated into the Cellini lineup. The 4015 features the iconic ribbed case, as well as a lovely blue mirror dial. It is rare to find this watch on the original asymmetric strap, making this a wonderfully preserved example from the golden age of Rolex.
Condition Report: Dial is in very good condition, with minor discoloration at the top left corner. Case is very good, with signs of light polishing and minor scratches on the case back. Original black leather signed strap has minor wear, but is soft and pliable. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example in in very good condition.

Pre-owned watches, unless still in original packaging or never worn, will likely have some degree of wear and scratches. This should be expected for many of the watches offered in auction.
