Condition Report:
The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The chronograph is working properly. All diamonds and emeralds are nice and intact. The bezel with signs of wear and pinhead dings. The case band and lugs with some dings and signs of wear. The case back with light surface wear and scuffs underneath the lugs. Otherwise the watch is in good overall condition. The bracelet with light surface wear.

In 1988, Rolex launched the automatic Daytona, a self-winding chronograph based on a Zenith movement that Rolex improved on for their luxury watches. While the vast majority of these appear in stainless steel, the present lot represents a very rare exampled realised in yellow gold with diamond and emerald-set dial.
