The Rolex Sea-Dweller is less well-known than its Submariner sibling, but the beefier case plays an important role in horology, specifically in deep sea diving. The inclusion of a thicker case and domed crystal, as well as the patented helium escape valve, enable the Sea-Dweller to reach depths of up to three times that of the Submariner. This example has a beautifully aged Mark 4 dial with the original tritium hour markers and hands developing a beautiful cream-colored patina.
