In 1969 references 6263 and 6265 were simultaneously launched, both with the wording “Oyster” on the dial, present for the first time in the history of the Daytona and the innovative screw pushers. The present lot is a specimen of 6265 which means that I equipped with the metallic graduated bezel. Its case is in stainless steel and is equipped with a beautiful Oyster bracelet and the quality of the whole object is astonishing for the sharpness of the lugs, its satin finish and the extremely overall state of conservation. The bezel strikes for the untouched conservation but the dial is beautiful. The silver, vibrant color with applied baton numerals, ocher luminous dots and black subsidiary dial create a perfect composition, further embellished by the red DAYTONA written in the middle of the dial. Examples such as this one are highly sought after on the market, so this represents an opportunity not to be missed by anyone looking for something special.
