Condition Report:
Case: The case has signs of wear throughout commensurate with age. The lugs retain strong proportions. The case back is personally inscribed 'Stan Barrett 739 MPH MACH 1.0106 12-17-79'. The bracelet made for the US market light surface wear throughout and previous light polish. The clasp is monogrammed 'SWB'.

Dial: The dial is in overall good condition. Dark spotting visible throughout the luminous plots. The luminous material in the minute and hour hands are partially missing.

Movement: The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.

Gifted to Stan Barrett by Paul Newman who had the case back engraved “STAN BARRATT 739 MPH MACH 1.0106 12-17-79”.
