GMT-MASTER, REFERENCE 1675 STAINLESS STEEL DUAL-TIME WRISTWATCH WITH DATE AND BRACELET CIRCA 1972

Dial: black
Calibre: cal. 1570 automatic, 26 jewels
Movement number: D’239’897
Case: stainless steel Oyster, screw-down crown and back
Case number: 3’223’786
Closure: stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet with integrated folding clasp
Dimensions: 40mm diameter, bracelet circumference approximately 195mm
Signed: case, dial and movement
Accessories: none

Provenance:
The Rolex GMT 1675 is probably one of the most celebrated models. Yet, it is also equally difficult to find an example that has survived in original and attractive condition.
One can only be charmed by the character of the present piece. Its correct Mk 2 matte dial has developed a warm mustard patina. It is attractively complemented by the naturally faded bezel with serif and fat font graduation. The case has still nice proportions and is fitted with the 7836 bracelet stamped for 1972. Part of a private European collection for many years, this watch is a particularly attractive example of an early 1970's Rolex 1675.
