Rolls-Royce - Silver Cloud 2 - 1962

[ translate ]

Rolls Royce Silver Cloud series 2 from 1962. This timeless and dynamic Rolls Royce model is perhaps the most beautiful car that ever rolled out of the factory. The first owner was Mr. Greenwood, director of the eponymous luxurious men’s fashion chain in Great Britain with more than 60 stores in the 1960s. Executed in the colour Deep Blue, with the original Connelli blue leather interior, the Ambassador Blue Wilton carpeting and the Kashmir woolen headlining. Also the burr walnut still looks beautiful and the car was originally supplied with air conditioning, power windows, “His Masters Voice” classic radio and an electric antenna. Later, the car was owned by someone who was 78 years old at the time. In recent years, the Rolls was kept in a dry storage. After a thorough cleaning, 4 new 235/75x15 tyres and some fuel, it was brought back to life. The car starts directly and shifts and brakes properly. Engine-wise it does not run optimally yet and it will definitely have to be inspected although it does have proper oil pressure. The bodywork still looks very acceptable and has never incurred any real damage apart from some small dents and a few rust spots. The sills are solid. The chrome is in a very fair to very nice condition. The interior is simply beautiful and has been kept original, including the nice burr walnut. All of the gauges in the dashboard are undamaged and the mono radio works, as does the original electric antenna. Chassis number, engine number and body number are all original and thus matching! With this car comes a copy of the log concerning the construction of this car in 1961/1962 as commissioned by Mr. Greenwood as well as a copy of the proof of ownership from the last 78-year-old English owner plus the original English registration. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a real Silver Cloud for not too much money! In summary: The engine runs but needs to be checked. The interior is nice and original, the bodywork requires some touch-ups and paint. The Cloud starts, shifts, brakes and steers properly. All of the tyres are new. We kindly invite to come over and view the car. For foreign bidders we provide exact export documents free of charge and we can assist in arranging suitable transport to the address preferred by the buyer via a professional carrier. The car can be viewed and picked up in Pijnacker, the Netherlands.
