Roman Artefact Group

Mainly 2nd-3rd century AD. A mixed bronze group comprising: a dolphin finial with raised tail; a hinged handle with bird; a bird with fixing lug beneath; a perching bird on stem; a keeled D-section handle with triangular plate. 115 grams total, 33-48mm (1 1/4 - 2"). Ex an important Dutch collection; acquired on the European art market in the 1970s. [5]
