Roman Bronze Flaring Cup

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A charming flared cup with a small, round foot, cast from bronze and with thin walls, giving it an elegant, delicate appearance. It fits neatly into the hand and has a pleasing weight. On one side, just below the rim, is a series of three small characters - two repeated, then one slightly larger. They are probably a mark of ownership. Size: 2.15" W x 3.7" H (5.5 cm x 9.4 cm)

Condition Report: Tiny loss from edge of rim. Otherwise in nice condition with slight bending to form and light encrustation, mainly in interior. Smooth green patina on surface.
