[ translate ]

**Originally Listed At $1000**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A pretty and well-made example of a bronze wine strainer, now aged to a dull golden "river patina" from deposition in water. A very similar example is known from the Roman tomb of Silistra in modern day Bulgaria. Size: 6.8" W x 14.9" H (17.3 cm x 37.8 cm); 16.75" H (42.5 cm) on included custom stand.
