Roman Glass Face Bead

1st century BC-1st century AD. A bifacial polychrome mosaic glass bead of sub-circular shape, a stylised human face to both sides, with squares suggesting hair and open mouths; pierced for suspension. Cf. The Corning Museum of Glass, accession number 54.1.154, for similar. 0.97 grams, 11mm (1/4"). From a central London collection; previously in a European collection formed 1979-1989. [No Reserve]
