Roman Glass Flask w/ Iridescence

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A slender glass flask with a light aqua hue and a dainty form. The flask rests on a slightly concave base and the conical body rises up to a corseted area before the elongated neck. The tubular neck ends at the outfolded rim that leads into the interior cavity. The surface has developed a lovely rainbow iridescence from over the ages. Roman glass was considered among the highest in quality and technique in ancient times, which is beautifully demonstrated by this slender vessel that is remarkably well preserved! Size: 2.5\" W x 5.25\" H (6.4 cm x 13.3 cm)
