Roman Glass Footed Unguentarium w/ Trail Handles

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. late 3rd to 4th century CE. A free-blown unguentarium formed from near-opaque, yellow-green glass with a discoid foot and a smooth pontil scar, a teardrop-shaped body with a tubular neck, a flared and in-folded rim, and a pair of applied trail handles joining rim to neck. Thick, fiery areas of silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence imbue the vessel with a burst of color which nicely complements the vibrant spring hues. Size: 2.3" W x 4.7" H (5.8 cm x 11.9 cm).

Condition Report: Minor abrasions to foot, body, handles, and rim, with light weathering film, and some encrustations, otherwise intact and very good. Nice earthen deposits as well as great silver and rainbow iridescence throughout.
