2nd-3rd century AD. A tall head-sprinkler in pale green glass from a two-piece mould, the everted rim with inward fold; the differing and bold faces of Janus with slight smile and with curled hair. 33.4 grams, 9.8cm (3 7/8"). From an old British private collection; previously in a collection formed in the 1970s; accompanied by a copy of an invoice from Howard Phillips, London, for £425.00, to Mr E. T. Hall dated 12 May 1970.
