Roman Glass Unguentarium

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful free-blown unguentarium (or perfume bottle), fashioned from a pale-green glass, with a thin overall composition. The bulbous base has a smoothed pontil. A tall neck and rolled rim complete the vessel, which has attained a silvery iridescence over the years. Size: 2" W x 4.55" H (5.1 cm x 11.6 cm)
