Roman Green Glass Flask
3rd-4th century AD. A tall aqua glass flask with domed disc base, piriform body and slightly flared neck; applied blue glass collar below the rim, two lateral loop handles joined by a second collar and crimped linear trails extending to flattened lobes. Cf. Lightfoot, C.S. Ancient Glass in National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh, 2007, items 224, 302 for type. 174 grams, 20cm (8"). From a private Belgian collection; previously part of a private collection formed in Germany in the 1990s.
