Roman Ladle with Stand

1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze ladle comprising a deep hemispherical bowl with lateral lugs to the rim, slightly curved handle with ribbed and balustered sections extending to a waisted panel and hooked finial; mounted on a custom-made stand. 261 grams total, 20.7cm with stand (8"). Property of a Suffolk gentleman; acquired from Rupert Wace, St. James's, London SW1.
