Roman Leaded Bronze Phallic Pendants (4)

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A interesting group of 4 leaded-bronze fertility amulets depicting phalluses. The first is a triple phallus with two pointing in opposite directions, and a third, smaller phallus presented on the front center with a suspension loop below. Next is a long, thin phallus with testicles at one end and a suspension ring below. The last two are stockier with fragmentary tabs where they once had suspension loops. Size of triple phallus: 1.75" L x 0.8" W (4.4 cm x 2 cm)
