Double sided, a female head in profile, her wavy hair held by a head band. Full lips, eyes gazing forwards.
Oscillum: Latin word for small figures, most commonly masks or faces, which were hung as offerings to various deities, either for propitiation or expiation. As the oscilla swing in the wind, oscillare came to mean to swing, hence in English oscillation, the act of swinging backwards and forwards.
