3rd-4th century AD. A bronze oil lamp with broad nozzle and collar-rib, basal ring, raised lip to the filler and lugs for a hinged lid, loop handle with thumb-pad formed as a bull's head. 431 grams, 17.5cm (7"). Ex an important Dutch collection; acquired on the European art market in the 1970s.
