A red dark terracotta oil lamp (lucerna), the surface decorated with a Germanic Symmacharios (allied) cavalryman on horseback carrying a round shield and a spear, wearing cloak, boots and trousers (bracae), the head looking backwards. 37.8 grams, 88mm (3 1/2"). From an old North Country collection; formed between 1970-2000.
