Roman Pottery Canteen - Target / Bullseye Design
Roman Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A fine pottery canteen of a remarkable rounded bullseye form with twin, ridged strap handles flanking the tall flared spout. Each circular face is convex and adorned with wheel made concentric circular marks akin to a target of bullseye motif. A wonderful example! Size: (round body) 6.75" in diameter x (vessel including spout) 8.125" H (17.1 cm x 20.6 cm)
