Roman Silver Ring with Leaping Lion

1st century AD. A silver ring with a scene of fighting lion and snake, decorated all around the rhomboid edge with a Greek pattern, ring body decorated with small step ornament. 4.1 grams, 20.51mm overall, 16.79mm internal diameter (approximate size British L, USA 5 3/4, Europe 11.24, Japan 10) (3/4"). Property of a London lady; from her family collection formed in the 1970s.
