Roman Silver Sandal Plate Brooch

2nd-3rd century AD. A 'sandal sole' (skeuomorphic) brooch with a hinged pin and a chain loop at the heel; a panel of red enamel to the face, decorated with silver studs; pin and catchplate intact.
