Roman Votive Military Campaign Table Leg
1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze leg from a folding campaign table, rectangular in section with hinged supports to the rear, finial formed as a bust of Abundantia(?) with wreath of leaves and fruit to the brow, angled tab to the reverse; ancient repair to the neckline; the shank distorted and bent into a loop prior to deposition. 1.4 kg, 48.5cm (19"). Property of a Suffolk collector; formerly acquired on the European art market in the 1990s.
