A Roman bronze applique in the form of the head of Mars, 1st - 3rd Century AD, beautifully detailed and wearing a crested helmet, his features quite handsome with curled locks framing his face. H: 1 1/2 in (3.8 cm). Extremely well-preserved with a deep glossy olive-green patina. Ex Barstow, CA family collection acquired prior to 1990.
