A Roman ceramic lamp with bust of woman or goddess, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, the long nozzle adorned with an amphora in relief and rest on oval ring foot. The back of the lamp is in the form of the bust of a woman or goddess, depicted wearing a large wreath with grape clusters descending onto her shoulder and bare-chested. L: 4 1/4 in (10.8 cm). Head re-attached; much original red slip remains. An interesting type! Ex collection of George Francoeur, MI.
