Roman Period, 30 BC-323 AD. A silver ring with round-section hoop and looped terminals, one formed as a snake head, the other as the creature's tail, with stylised scale detailing to the body. 8.34 grams, 26.61mm overall, 20.30mm internal diameter (approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/4, Europe 20.63, Japan 19) (1"). North American collection, 1990s-2000s. Property of a Surrey gentleman.
