Leo Romulus (1883/1958)
A pupil of Giuseppe Casciaro, he was greatly influenced by him on a stylistic level, a circumstance that would always emerge throughout his pictorial career.
In 1927, again in the wake of Casciaro who was its president, it became part of the Flegreo Group, a movement
born with the aim of enhancing Neapolitan art in Italy and abroad, organizing and promoting collective exhibitions. Painter always active in the defense of art and its exponents.
He lived for several years in Paris, but still remained a landscape painter and his main themes were country houses, city stadiums, always crowded with people in the excitement of city life, both parts of Naples and the Mediterranean pine forest and of Rome or Paris.
He was also active at exhibitions, participating in the Promotrice Napoletana in 1922, following in Turin in various editions from 1928 to 1935, exhibiting at the same time at the fascist trade unions in Naples from 1930 to 1940.
