[ translate ]

Comtoise rooster cast in Large Jakobiner hat. Comtoise from the 18th century (Revolution period) . With the original alarm clock still in it! Mechanical 8-day verge escapement timepiece, striking every half and full hour. What is very special about the striking mechanism is that the saw is not positioned between the styles but in front of the style behind the dial (see photos) . The clock strikes half and full hours on a bell, the hours are repeated after a few minutes. The original hands are very fine and have a beautifully made shape. Clock has a long wire pendulum with lead weight, it hangs at the top of the high mantel clock case. All in all a super beautiful and distinct rooster. The movement has been completely expertly restored, arranged, equipped with new ropes and runs - therefore, as it should. The many (close-up) photos are part of the description. The black-and-white photographs are from the book by Gustav Schmitt ( image with the Jakobiner hat in the casting) . The clock and all its accessories, such as weights, chair and key, will be well packaged and shipped registered. Pick up in Tilburg is preferred. (clock can then be seen running) .
