[ translate ]

A two-piece set comprising an espresso or coffee cup and matching saucer in white porcelain. The pieces are from the Rosenthal Studio-Linie 'Künstlertasse' (Artist's Cup) series. The surfaces of both items feature a fine, relief-moulded ribbed structure with diagonal lines. The cup is fitted with a sculpturally shaped, ribbon-like handle, while the saucer has an irregularly curved, clover-shaped rim. The decoration consists of a modern, abstract graphic pattern with overlapping biomorphic shapes in shades of pink, orange, ochre/gold, and taupe, applied by transfer printing. The underside of both pieces bears a grey stamp featuring the crown logo above the Rosenthal lettering, with "studio-linie" and "GERMANY" below. This is followed by the text "Künstlertasse Nr. 10" and "Johan van Loon". Additionally, a printed signature "J Loon" is visible below the logo on the underside of the saucer and on the handle of the cup. The base of the saucer also shows the impressed number 28, while the base of the cup is marked with a small number 13 printed in grey.
