Rosenthal Studio-Linie Artist's Cup No. 12 Marcello Morandini Porcelain Set

This set, comprising a glazed porcelain espresso cup and saucer, is notable for its modern, sculptural design. The white cup features a wide, rounded bowl with an integrated, curved handle that continues the lines of the cup body. The saucer is designed as a minimalist, slightly concave black disc. The set features a monochrome colour scheme in black and white. On the underside of the cup and the saucer, there is a circular printed mark. In the centre of the mark, the inscription 'Kuenstlertasse Nr. 12' and 'Marcello Morandini' can be read. At the top edge of the circle, below a crown symbol, is 'Rosenthal', followed by 'studio-linie' and 'GERMANY'. Beneath the designer's name is a signature mark consisting of three vertical lines and the name 'Morandini'. In addition, there is a small, discreet signature with the wording 'Morandini' on the exterior of the cup near the handle.
