Roy Lichtenstein (American 1923-1997) "The Oval Office, " 1992, screenprint in colors, on Rives BFK paper, signed and dated in pencil, lower right, numbered 158/175, with the printer's blindstamp "X" in lower right, with the artist's inkstamp verso, printed by Brand X Editions, Long Island City, New York. Co-published by the artist and Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, Inc, New York, for the benefit of the Democratic National Committee. Commissioned as part of the Artists for Freedom of Expression Project to benefit the Democratic National Committee during the 1992 Clinton/Gore campaign, this image was later chosen as one of six commemorative inaugural posters by the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
