Designer: Christian Thomsen, Denmark
Produced on the occasion of the reunification of Sonderjylland with Denmark in 1919.
Featuring the motif of Thyra Danebod.

Queen Thyra Dannebod or Thyra Danebod (queen from around 935 until her death around 950/958) was the wife of Gorm the Old of Denmark and thus the queen of Denmark. She is described in medieval sources as a wise and very powerful woman. She is first mentioned on the runestone that her husband Gorm erected after her in Jelling, Denmark, around the year 950.
