Royal Copenhagen - Vase (2) - Very early pair of vases with lily decoration, 19th century - Porcelain

[ translate ]

Beautiful very early pair of vases from the Royal Copenhagen porcelain manufacturer in Denmark

You'll probably never get it again as a couple!

Bulbous shape at the bottom, narrow long neck (solifleur)
Base color midnight blue
Floral decor, flowers and leaves of a white iris

Beautiful, detailed hand painting underglaze, as is usual for Royal Copenhagen

Height approx. 19cm
Weight approx. 250g per vase, total 500g

On the bottom there is only the painted blue three-wave stamp, which speaks for the period of the 19th century up to 1890 at the latest, after which the Royal Copenhagen stamp in green was added
Also in blue is the painter's abbreviation 49. Identical on both vases, meaning both were decorated by the same painter
The decor number 18 in green.
Apparently one of the first decors ever
The model number 43B and an O are engraved.

Both vases are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs
There are only a few glaze defects due to the manufacturing process, which also suggests an early version
One vase is missing some glaze on one of the green leaves (see detailed photo)

Shipped in a well-padded and insured package
