Royal Doulton Porcelain Prototype Wolf Figurine

Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurine depicting a character likely from the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. The brown-furred wolf is modeled standing on hind legs atop a rectangular base designed as a blue and white striped rug with yellow fringed ends. The figure is dressed in a pink ruffled nightgown and a blue nightcap, posed with one arm raised and teeth bared beside a red upholstered chair with a blue garment draped over the back. The underside of the base features a black printed mark with a circular emblem containing the text Royal Doulton Made in England, flanked by the words Prototype and Only. Six white felt pads are attached to the base.
